The rule behind all of these
The platform exists to telephone people who have placed an order, about that order. Everything below follows from that sentence.
Do not
- Call people who have not ordered from you. This is not a telemarketing tool. Uploading a purchased list and running it through the queue is the single fastest way to lose an account here.
- Upload data you have no right to process. Including another seller's customers, a list from a previous employer, or anything scraped.
- Attempt to reach data belonging to another organisation. Including by guessing identifiers, by manipulating requests, or by using an account issued to somebody else.
- Call outside the hours the seller has set, or past the attempt cap. The software enforces these; working around them is a breach whether or not you succeed.
- Misrepresent an outcome. Recording a confirm that did not happen is fraud against the seller and against the platform, and the audit trail is designed to make it findable.
- Resell access or share credentials between people. Add users; they are how the audit trail stays meaningful.
- Probe the service for weaknesses without telling us. Testing is welcome, in advance, in writing. Automated scanning against production without notice is not.
What happens
A first, clearly accidental breach gets a conversation. A serious or repeated one gets suspension, and where a call centre is suspended, live orders are returned to the seller rather than left in a queue nobody can reach.
Reporting
If you believe somebody is using the platform this way — or you have found a vulnerability — write to us through the contact page before writing about it anywhere else, and we will tell you what we did and when.
